2018 A Year of Rebirth
Happy New Year!
Phew! It was one crazy year, but we made it to 2018. I know for most of us it was a mash-up of highs & lows, wins & losses, epiphanies & face-palming mistakes.
I personally learned a bunch this year.
I have spent a great of time thinking about YOU, about us, about LIFE, a lot of time thinking about how to solve the problems we all face: fear, lack of confidence, not enough time, money stress, indecision, lack of focus and health challenges.
I have thought about the burnout, the treadmills we get stuck on, feeling trapped, hopeless and often times feeling abandoned.
We’re tired: we’re trying; it’s awesome: it sucks. Life is all those things, and that’s the best and worse thing about it.
We need to have something to look forward to!
The past doesn’t have to equal the future, unless we deliberately make it so.
So how do we carve out a safe, calm space called ‘ Our Happy Life”, amidst all of the chaos?
Here’s what I know:
We can’t escape pain. Life will punch you in the face and things will fall apart.
We can determine how we react to it. And that makes ALL the difference.
We can create systems that set us up for success but don’t expect them to be a cure-all.
We can create habits that elevate our everyday life.
We can choose to believe things that serve us instead of things that keep us down.
It’s okay to be in pain.
We are not meant to discount the pain and try to edge it out with faking a positive attitude or quasi-positive affirmations. Respect the pain, listen to it, and it will teach you. Pain is our body and heart’s way of telling us something.
Here’s the truth… I have traveled and do travel the same road you travel. This year I realized I had to get down to business figuring out what was amiss and how to fix it. I have gone back to a love that I left behind when I lost my husband, (metal-smithing and making jewelry) along with that I am changing other things when it comes to my intuitive business.
Some of the things spirit has said to you, spirit says to me.
You can’t eat a watermelon in one bite, but you can eat it one bite at a time.
Don’t forfeit a day of your life for someone or something that doesn’t bring you joy, peace, happiness or contentment.
Life is way too short, and it’s gone in a blink of an eye. This I know well, I will be 67 in a couple of days and I still have a ton of stuff I want to do and experience. I feel excited about the coming year, my life, my business and the future.
Over the coming year, I’m really looking forward to sharing with you the beliefs, systems, and strategies that have given me freedom from stress, fear, lack of time & money, and overwhelm.
My deepest joy comes from each of you, I want for you to find what you’re looking for this year. Let’s hold each other up until we can stand on own two feet.
Let me know what’s your heart’s desire this coming year.
Remember you deserve it, after all, you’re all that and a bag of chips!
Wishing you the best 2018 possible.
